About
Maher Boudabra مَاهِر بودَبْرَة

Biography
My name is Maher, a Muslim. My dream was to become a physicist, while my mother wanted me to be a doctor. However, we will only will what Allah wills. I eventually settled in the kingdom of mathematics, teaching and researching. I lack quick wit, and I dislike Olympiad competitions—to the extent that their questions ruin my mood. And with that, may peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, and we seek refuge in Allah from knowledge that brings no benefit.
I graduated from the École Normale Supérieure of Tunis in 2014 with the “Agrégation” diploma. However, despite its prestige, this diploma poses challenges for Tunisian students pursuing research abroad, as it is not widely recognized and often requires explanation. I later earned my PhD from Monash University in 2014, where my dissertation focused on problems related to planar Brownian motion. I have a strong interest in linear algebra, statistics, and coding—though I prefer writing simple rather than overly complex codes. I did a bit of cryptography as well.
